Lely’s first Feed the Future Hackathon

Lely’s first Feed the Future Hackathon!

Lely is happy to announce that they are organising alongside Rockstart their first Feed the Future Hackathon on November 4th-6th, where people from all corners of the industry will come together online to solve issues with their new innovative ideas. We are joining the digital world and hosting an online hackathon!

By the end of this online hackathon, participants will have the potential opportunity to further explore their idea with the support of Lely and Rockstart.

This is an important event to Lely as it fits well with the strategy as a leader in robotics and farm management for the dairy farming industry. Their inventions substantially changed traditions in agriculture across the globe. Such as their milking robot, which is recognised as the most important invention of the 20th century for dairy farmers. Lely has joined forces with numerous organisations worldwide to make life in the agricultural sector easier and work towards a sustainable, profitable and enjoyable future.

Therefore this hackathon is looking at three relevant areas where challenges arise – animal welfare, fair pricing, and meeting local food production needs. The goal of the hackathon is to create an environment where impact driven individuals and teams mixed with expertise and mentorship can work together to discover new improvements and inspire everyone to learn more about today’s issues in the dairy farming industry.
